For those like me, that prefer to do multiple things at once, you can listen while you scroll!
You get an email alert, someone you follow has posted a new essay, poem, etc.
Open the email and tap [Read In App]
Click the ▶️ in the top right.
Open the player at the bottom of the screen and pick your speed, preferences.
Close player and go about your business. The player will continue and automatically go on to the next post in your subscriptions.
I realize not everyone’s brain works this way, but for me personally, as long as I am doing something low focus (scrolling, cleaning, organizing, light structural edits) I can absolutely enjoy someone’s essay without sacrificing attention. And it helps me make space for more of my fellow writers.
