Hi friends,
Our first Slow Read Book Club has begun, and I’m really looking forward to spending time with everyone on Thursday, March 19th at 12PM EST. If you missed the main post you can review all dates/links/timelines here:
March’s Bookside Chat (1 of 3)
March 19 | 12:00–1:30 pm EST
Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85937906558?pwd=3yrpnlsRuE18z0Sb3XS1WJbfYnLmCf.1
What to expect:
We’ll begin with first impressions, move into a few guiding questions, and close with reflections that you can carry into your week. You’ll never be put on the spot, and you are welcome to attend to only listen. Moreover, we welcome those who’ve skimmed, close-read, or are just beginning.
For this first conversation, we’ll reflect on these chapters:
Skywoman Falling
The Council of Pecans
The Gift of Strawberries
An Offering
Asters and Goldenrod
Learning the Grammar of Animacy
The Slow Read Book Club is free and open to anyone who wants to join, so feel free to share this event with family or friends. The more the merrier.
P.S. At the close of our Slow Read (in late May), I’m hosting a craft session for Paid Subscribers: “Finding Your Voice in Poetry & Prose.” More details soon.
Warmly,
NJ.

Very fun! I like that it’s in the middle of the day and week. Give us a fun little break, over lunch (for me anyway). Going to dig it out from my bookshelf!
